Maslon Selected to Receive Distinguished Service Award for Children
Mary Vasaly, a partner in Maslon's Litigation Group, comments on the award, "As CLC volunteers, we make it possible for children's voices to be heard in the chaos of the public welfare system, and in so doing, we help those children gain some control over their lives." The Distinguished Service Award for Children is presented to firms who have given extensively of their time and legal skill to advocate on behalf of children within the legal system. CLC states, "Maslon lawyers have set a high standard . . . and have particularly contributed to the work of CLC." The CLC promotes the rights and interests of Minnesota's children, especially children of color and children with disabilities, in the judicial, child welfare, health care and education systems. It has assisted over 1,200 children in child protection proceedings through attorney pro bono efforts since its inception. |
