Mary Vasaly and Susan Link Named to the 2008 List of "Top 100 Women Super Lawyers®"

Mary Vasaly, partner in Maslon's Litigation Practice Group, and Susan Link, chair of Maslon's Estate Planning Practice Group, have been named to the 2008 list of "Top 100 Women Super Lawyers®," published in the October/November issue of Minnesota Law & Politics. Each year Law & Politics sends out approximately 16,000 ballots to Minnesota attorneys and asks them to rank their peers within 55 different practice areas based on case outcomes, experience, representative clients, professional honors, and community service among other factors. The "Top 100" list represents the women lawyers who received the highest point totals in the 2008 Minnesota Super Lawyers nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. Mary Vasaly has been a lawyer for 25 years and practices in the areas of appeals, probate/trust litigation and commercial litigation. She tries cases and argues appeals in the state and federal courts of Minnesota as well as other states, and has also appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court. Vasaly is a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, was named a "Lawyer of the Year" by Minnesota Lawyer in 2003, and is the current president of the Hennepin County Bar Association.

Susan Link practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration. She works with families to plan the disposition of their assets, both during lifetime and at death, and to accomplish the optimal estate and transfer tax planning. Link is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a member of the Probate and Trust Section Council of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and serves as Program Director for the Section's Wills for Heroes Committee.
